Webinar series

We had the first Mentoring Webinar Series organized by our Mentorship Program on Sunday 8th of May, 2022 at 3 pm (West Central Africa). Graduate students were trained by our experienced mentors on how to communicate effectively with prospective graduate study supervisors, appropriately write a CV/resume, SOP, Personal Statements, and transition within academia and to the industry.

We appreciate Dr. OZIOMA NWABOR (Coordinator, Mentorship Program) for putting this together. Special thanks to Joshua Olayinka, FHEA, Iyiola Owolabi-Olayinka, Ph.D., and Eunice Akuru for facilitating the webinar.

Webinar series

We had our Webinar series organized by the Research and Training Program titled Introduction to Experimental Design and Statistical Tools in Research, with a Focus on Applied Sciences on the 28th of April, 2022 at 3 p.m. (West African Time).

This is the first series under the “Experimental Design in Research: Current Trends and Prospects” training session. 

Special appreciation to Dr. Peter Olayemi (Research Data Scientist at Climate LLC, USA) for facilitating the training session. We also appreciate our Research and Training team for organizing this educative session. 

As this was an introduction, the next series for this training session would focus on in-depth knowledge of data analysis in applied science as well as other research fields such as social sciences, liberal arts, etc. The date and time will be communicated soon, stay in touch.
2022 MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The EdResearch Hub opens call for applications into Mentorship Program every year. This program is a structured, and one-to-one relationship with our well-seasoned mentors who will bring their vast experience with strategic planning to help increase your knowledge and build skills for future goals and significant career milestones.

  • Are you a graduate student or early career scientist from a developing country?
  • Do you need a mentor to help explore and provide guidance on how to make a successful scholarship, funding, fellowship applications for MSc. Ph.D or Postdoc?
  • Do you need an experienced person to help train you in writing and vetting your CV/resume, SOP, personal statement, etc.?

Then you can apply for The EdResearch Hub 2022 Mentorship Program. Applicants will be evaluated for eligibility and the significant goal(s) they aim to achieve through this program.

Call closes on the 10th of April, 2022

We had our very first webinar series on “DEVELOPING YOUR RESEARCH WRITING SKILLS” with the research group of Dr. Mrs. O.O. Afolayan of the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Lagos, Nigeria. The interactive and informative event took place on the 29th of January, 2022. The training session was facilitated by Dr. Iyiola Owolabi.
